Cameron's first outing

We've pretty much been housebound per the recommendation of our peditrician since apparently it's pretty nasty if a baby gets a fever under 2 months old. Plus, Zack and I have been really concerned with the flu and swine flu running rampant in the area. But, this past weekend, we made our first official outing to "Grandpoo and Grandmoo"s house for a birthday party for Aunt Kristen. Cameron got all dressed up in a new outfit, complete with jeans and shoes and I must admit, he looked awfully handsome!

Since this was our first outing, I had no idea how long it would take us to get ready and get on the road, so we started early and actually left on time! Cameron was pretty good in the car, he slept most of the way, but woke up and got a bit fussy just before we arrived. He was pretty fussy when we arrived, I think it was a combination of being hungry and tired and having so much going on. I think he was so excited to be out that he fought going to sleep which just made him even more fussy.
This is how he spent the majority of the first part of our visit!

Zack finally took him downstairs and got him to fall asleep with the help of a good swaddle, the boppy pillow, the travelling white noise machine, and the rocking recliner.
So, this is how he spent the second part of the visit...

Cameron woke up once from his nap and started getting fussy again, but luckily Grandpoo was willing to take a try at calming him down and before we knew it, Cameron was napping peacefully on his grandfather. It was so sweet!

Just about the time we were getting ready to leave, Cameron woke up hungry so he had a quick meal which led to a quick diaper change. After his diaper was changed, he was in a great mood, so we had a quick photo session before we left. This is how he spent the last part of the visit!

I was happy (and relieved) that everyone got to spend a little bit of time with Cameron when he was in a good mood! He gets fussy really quick when he gets even the littlest bit tired, so a lot of times, when we have visitors, he is fussy. I'm hoping this is something he grows out of as he gets a bit bigger and can better process all of the stimuli from this big, bright world we all live in! All in all, we had a great visit and it was wonderful to get out of the house for a bit! We're looking forward to more visits and outings soon!
