Sleeping Through The Night.
Cameron decided to celebrate being two months old by sleeping through the night. Sunday night, he went right to sleep at 8:00. I woke up around 3 am quite confused since I didn't remember getting up to feed Cameron around 1 am when he usually gets up to eat. Zack was confused and a bit worried too, so he got up and checked on him and sure enough, Cameron was sleeping soundly. So, we went back to sleep until I woke up around 4, sure something was wrong since I still hadn't been up to feed Cameron. I checked on him this time and he was still sleeping! Cameron didn't get up to eat until 5:15 which is when Zack gets up to go to work! Although we were thrilled that he slept through the night, we were pretty hesitant to celebrate too much in case it was a fluke. Well...last night, it was the same thing. He went right to sleep at 8:00 and didn't get up to eat until 5:00. Unlike last night, Zack and I slept through the night too and didn't have to get up three or four times to make sure everything was alright! I hear that if babies do things three times in a row, it's safe to plan on it sticking for awhile, so everyone cross their fingers that he sleeps this well again tonight! I'm so proud of our little guy (and quite well rested!!)
Our first adventure in public!
Last Friday, we finally took Cameron on his first adventure in public. We started out at Babies R Us to get diapers and wipes and of course we ended up with a few extras (toys, books, halloween costume!). Cameron hung out in his car seat in the cart and did a great job. He though about fussing when the cart wasn't moving, but all in all, he did a great job! After that, we went to a sub shop for dinner. I put Cameron in his Baby K'Tan and he sat in my lap the whole time we ate! No fusses!! Finally, we went to Home Depot. It was in the same plaza as the sub shop, so I just kept Cameron in the K'Tan and walked over. Cameron really seemed to enjoy being able to look around and see everything and he was so comfy that he eventually fell asleep in Home Depot! It had been so long since we'd been out shopping together that we actually were out a little later than we had planned which meant that we didn't get home until after Cameron's bedtime so he got to bed about an hour late. Boy, did he make us pay for that! He slept for about 45 minutes and then woke up VERY upset. He cried and fussed for the next three hours and we finally got him to fall asleep at midnight. I'm thinking it was a combination of overstimulation from the outing and being overtired from us keeping him out too late. Another lesson learned for these new parents! All in all, it was great to get him out and about and just to be out of the house as a family!

Here's Cameron in his Baby K'Tan!! Such a great investment.

Two months old!
Cameron turned two months old yesterday! I feel like a broken record, but I can't believe how fast the time is going. He is really starting to get a personality and I love hearing him make happy noises! He especially loves to "talk" to the animals on his play mat and on his mobile. We go to the doctor next Monday for his two month check up, so we'll have all the details on how much he's grown then. It will also be time for his 2 month shots, so pray for us (I think it will be harder on me than it will be on him, so Zack's coming to help keep me calm!!)
Here are some pictures from our two month "photo shoot".

Cameron's first outing
We've pretty much been housebound per the recommendation of our peditrician since apparently it's pretty nasty if a baby gets a fever under 2 months old. Plus, Zack and I have been really concerned with the flu and swine flu running rampant in the area. But, this past weekend, we made our first official outing to "Grandpoo and Grandmoo"s house for a birthday party for Aunt Kristen. Cameron got all dressed up in a new outfit, complete with jeans and shoes and I must admit, he looked awfully handsome!
Since this was our first outing, I had no idea how long it would take us to get ready and get on the road, so we started early and actually left on time! Cameron was pretty good in the car, he slept most of the way, but woke up and got a bit fussy just before we arrived. He was pretty fussy when we arrived, I think it was a combination of being hungry and tired and having so much going on. I think he was so excited to be out that he fought going to sleep which just made him even more fussy.
Zack finally took him downstairs and got him to fall asleep with the help of a good swaddle, the boppy pillow, the travelling white noise machine, and the rocking recliner.
So, this is how he spent the second part of the visit...
Cameron woke up once from his nap and started getting fussy again, but luckily Grandpoo was willing to take a try at calming him down and before we knew it, Cameron was napping peacefully on his grandfather. It was so sweet!

Just about the time we were getting ready to leave, Cameron woke up hungry so he had a quick meal which led to a quick diaper change. After his diaper was changed, he was in a great mood, so we had a quick photo session before we left. This is how he spent the last part of the visit!
I was happy (and relieved) that everyone got to spend a little bit of time with Cameron when he was in a good mood! He gets fussy really quick when he gets even the littlest bit tired, so a lot of times, when we have visitors, he is fussy. I'm hoping this is something he grows out of as he gets a bit bigger and can better process all of the stimuli from this big, bright world we all live in! All in all, we had a great visit and it was wonderful to get out of the house for a bit! We're looking forward to more visits and outings soon!

He's growing...
So, I can't believe it, but I had to pack up a box of newborn clothes this weekend because he is too big for them. I haven't sealed up the box yet (it's still sitting in the nursery)...I don't think I want to really believe that he's getting bigger. On one hand, I'm so glad he is growing because it means he's healthy, eating enough and getting the nutrients he needs from me but on the other hand, I already feel like time is flying by too fast. Six weeks ago today, I was in labor. When I had six weeks to go till my due date, it seemed like forever, but when I think about the past six weeks, it seems like a flash. He brings a smile to my face every day and I am so thankful for every minute I get to spend with him!
